Dear friends of Japan

Thank for your interests to Japan always. Today we would like to draw your attention to the special occasion: "A shojin ryori cooking event".

What is shojin ryori?

Shojin ryori is a traditional vegetarian cuisine which has been practiced in the Buddhist temples in Japan. Shojin ryori is considered to be very healthy with a specific focus on the use of local and fresh ingredients.

Ms. Mari Fujii has learned shojin ryori from her late husband, who was a munk.

She has held workshops and done lectures not only in Japan but also in Australia, US and Europe. Now, for the first time in Denmark, the Embassy of Japan in close collaboration with Japan Foundation and Restaurant Sukiyaki will introduce shojin ryori in Denmark.

Please come and join us.
