The Kendama artist Yusuke Ito and Edodaikagura artist Senwaka will make a performance of traditional Japanese Games at the Information and Cultural centre. Come and experience traditional Japanese skills.
Date and Time: August 26 (Wed) 17.00 –
Place: In front of Information and Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan, Nina Bangs Plads.
In case of rain, the event will take place inside the centre.

What is Edodaikagura?
The original purpose of Daikagura was to serve as a talisman for the people, chasing away evil on behalf of the gods of the shrines. Thus, Daikagura was originally a very sacred and serious performance. Today, the performance is becoming people's entertainment. They wear a "kimono" and perform Japanese traditional juggling and the lion dance. If you get bitten by the lion, it's good luck! Various objects are spun around on the top of an umbrella. A teacup is balanced on top of a long pole. Don't blink!
