Traditional calligraphy is already in itself a personalized way of writing the Chinese characters “Kanji”. Ms. Seki takes this a step further, as her art shows her impression of a kanji, and gives a subjective mirror image of the kanji that contains both the meaning and the process of writing the particular kanji.
The calligraphy is presented on hanging scrolls.
