Exchanges between University of Copenhagen and Japan

2021/8/23

On 23 August, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and the cultural diplomat of the Embassy of Japan were kindly received by Dr. Annika HVITHAMAR, Head of Department, Cross Cultural and Regional Studies, Ms. Marie ROESGAARD, Associate Professor, Japanese Studies and their colleagues at the beautiful campus of University of Copenhagen. They talked about further exchanges between Denmark and Japan, Japanese language study and so on.
University of Copenhagen established Japanese language course in 1968 and enjoys the longest history of teaching Japanese language in Denmark. Recently, a new partnership has emerged to cooperate with Copenhagen Business School and students from CBS also join in the class of Japanese language at University of Copenhagen.
The Embassy of Japan reiterates its gratitude to the Department of Cross Cultural and Regional Studies for having arranged the opportunity to have a fruitful discussion and taken us around through the Department building in the middle of busy schedule prior to the new semester of the University from September. We look forward to continuous exchanges and cooperation with the University in coming years.
