International Judo Tournament "Danish Open Judo" in Vejle

On February 10th-11th, the international judo competition "Danish Open Judo" was successfully held in Vejle, with over 1,000 athletes from 26 countries taking part.
Hoping that international exchange through Judo, which has its origin in Japan, to expand, Mr. HARADA Masaru, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Japan, gave a speech to pray for the success of the event and to encourage the participating Judo athletes at the opening ceremony.
 
From Japan, a delegation of Judoka from Tokai University, led by Prof. Hidetoshi Nakanishi as a coach, participated in the tournament as in the previous year. In Vejle, the Danish Open Judo and the Matsumae Cup Judo named after Dr. Shigeyoshi Matsumae, the founder of Tokai University, are held every other year.
