Ambassador Uyama Attended JARA 2025

On February 7th, Ambassador Uyama attended the Japan Alumni and Researcher Assembly (JARA) 2025, held at the University of Copenhagen. This annual event is co-hosted by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Stockholm Office, the Tokai University European Center, and the Embassy of Japan in Denmark. The assembly aims to introduce scholarship programs and other initiatives by the aforementioned three organizations, and to facilitate exchanges among researchers and alumni related to Japan in Denmark.
The Ambassador delivered a speech at the beginning of the event, highlighting the importance of academic and research exchanges and the significance of JARA, and expressing his hopes for further enhancement of Japan-Denmark academic and research cooperation. Mr. Victor Finsen from the Embassy provided an explanation of the Japanese government's scholarship programs and the Japan Foundation's grant programs.
