On May 13, Ambassador Uyama was invited by European Energy, a Danish renewable energy company, and Mitsui & Co. to attend a ceremony celebrating the official inauguration of Kassø Green e-methanol facility, which is a joint project of the two companies, and the world's first commercial production of e-methanol.
At the ceremony, Mr. Knud Eric Andersen, CEO of European Energy, and Mr. Takashi Furutani, Senior Executive Managing Officer of Mitsui, delivered speeches, followed by congratulatory remarks from representatives of offtakers -Maersk, Lego, and Novo Nordisk.
This was followed by a Dharma doll eye-painting ceremony, and a tour of the plant.
