Ambassador Uyama’s Visit to Aalborg

On August 6, Ambassador Uyama visited Aalborg Municipality, and had a meeting with Mr. Lasse Frimand Jensen, Mayor of Aalborg Municipality. They exchanged views on the potential for cooperation between Japan and Aalborg in economic, cultural, people-to-people exchanges, and other areas.
The Ambassador also visited Aalborg University, and had a meeting with Dr. Per Michael Johansen, Rector of the University. Following a presentation by the Rector on the overview of the university, including its problem-based learning approach, they discussed the current status and prospects of academic exchanges between Aalborg University and Japanese universities. After the meeting with the Rector, the Ambassador listened to presentations by Professor Dinesen and other researchers who have engaged in joint research projects with Juntendo University.
