On October 29, Ambassador UYAMA Hideki hosted the ceremony for the Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Maestro Toshiyuki Kamioka, Honorary Conductor of the Copenhagen Phil at the Ambassador’s Residence.
Maestro Kamioka, who served as General Music Director of various opera theatres and orchestras in Germany for many years, and Chief Conductor of the Copenhagen Phil for 8 years since 2016, has made significant contribution to deepening mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Denmark as well as Germany through his music activities. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Maestro Kamioka.
