Conferment of Decorations in Autumn 2025

On 3 November, the Government of Japan has decided to confer the decoration of “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette” on Ms. Birgit Stenbak Hansen, Former Mayor of Frederikshavn Municipality, in recognition of her significant contributions to promoting people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Denmark, in particular, Wakayama Prefecture and Frederikshavn Municipality.
