2025/10/30
On 30 October, Ambassador UYAMA Hideki was invited to the Danish Foreign Ministry, along with H.E. Mr. David Vosen, Ambassador of Australia and H.E. Mr. RHEE Dong-yeol, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, and exchanged views with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, whose country currently holds the EU Presidency, regarding cooperation between the EU and the Indo-Pacific 4 – Japan, ROK, Australia, and New Zealand.
Europe and the Indo-Pacific region share a deeply intertwined relationship, not only economically but also from a security perspective. Japan is advancing its vision for a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP),” one of its key diplomatic priorities, based on the fundamental principles of freedom, the rule of law, diversity, inclusiveness, and openness.
