Call for Application: JET Programme (Assistant Language Teacher)

The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET Programme) seeks to enhance internationalization in Japan by encouraging mutual understanding between the people of Japan and those of other nations through enhancement of foreign language education and promotion of international exchange at the local level. The application for the JET Programme (Assistant Language Teacher) is now open.
The Programme achieves its objectives by offering JET Programme participants the opportunity to teach English to private elementary and junior high schools in Japan.
If you are interested, please find the application guidelines and forms from the link below and send the application documents by post or bring them to the Embassy by Monday, 9 March, 2026.

1 Period of Participation
In principle, the participation period is one year, starting from August 3, 2026, one day after arrival.
