Ambassador Mori Presents Credentials to His Majesty King Frederik X
2026/2/3
On 3 February 2026, Ambassador Mikio Mori officially presented his credentials to His Majesty King Frederik X at Christiansborg Palace, marking the official start of his tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Denmark.
Seizing this important occasion, Ambassador Mori said,
“Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1867, Japan and Denmark have enjoyed a close partnership based on shared values and principles, strengthened by the strong ties between our Imperial and Royal Families. Our Strategic Partnership in 2023 has further deepened this bond. Denmark’s expertise in renewable energy, digitalisation and life sciences complements Japan’s strengths in technology, creativity, and its sincere commitment to continuous progress, and our countries’ cooperation continues to grow.
Greenland and the Faroe Islands are also important partners with whom we collaborate closely on sustainable marine resource management and Arctic research. Our partnership continues to grow steadily, fostering mutual friendship and a shared commitment to protecting our oceans and the Arctic region.
I look forward to building on these foundations to strengthen the bonds between the Japanese and Danish peoples for the benefit of us all.”
