Join the Government of Japan's MIRAI (Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative) Program!
 
The Embassy of Japan in Denmark invites applications for a 7-day exchange programme in Japan.
 
📅 Programme Dates
2–8 December 2026 (arrival to departure)
 
🌏 Theme
Diplomacy & Security (Group 2)
 
Meet Japanese experts, government officials, researchers and university students while deepening your understanding of Japan's diplomacy, security policy, society and culture. Participants will also take part in an online pre-programme before travelling to Japan.
 
🎓 Eligibility
- Nationals of eligible European countries
- Aged 20 or above
- Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at a university in Denmark
- Good academic standing
- Sufficient English proficiency to actively participate in discussions
- No previous stay in Japan exceeding six consecutive months
- No previous participation in the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programme
- Willing to share your experiences through social media and other outreach activities during and after the programme
