Visit to Faaborg-Midtfyn, a friendship city of Noboribetsu

    On 4 December, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu and Noriko, his wife were kindly invited by Mr. Hans Stavnsager, Mayor of the city of Faaborg-Midtfyn, the friendship city of Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, Japan.  The program began with the visits to Helios Cinema and Culture center, Faaborg Museum, Konnerup Chokolade, Kami Stål (blacksmiths), a surprise concert by Sun Day Karma where the participants sang together “Kimi Ga Yo” and “I Danmark er jeg født” and the visit was concluded by a walk through the historic center of Faaborg led by Mayor Stavnsager and dinner to discuss future collaboration between Faaborg , Noboribetsu and Japan.  Tusind tak to all friends of Japan from Faaborg for such a fruitful and enlightening opportunity!
