Conferment Ceremony in honour of Mr. Bertel Haarder

On 21 April, Ambassador MIYAGAWA Manabu hosted at his residence the conferment ceremony in honour of His Excellency Mr. Bertel Haarder, Member of the Danish Parliament, Former Minister for Culture and Minister for Ecclesiastical Affairs and Former European Parliament’s Chairman of Delegation for Relations with Japan.
Mr. Bertel Haarder was awarded with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star in November 2020 for his contribution to strengthening bilateral friendly relations between Japan and Denmark as well as to promoting parliamentary relations between Japan and the EU.
The ceremony was held in accordance with the Danish authority’s relevant hygiene guidelines and through taking measures against the infection strictly.
