Study Japan
As one of the efforts to promote youth exchanges and enhance mutual understanding between Japan and Europe, the Government of Japan offers Japan-Europe High school Student Exchange Program. In this program, the students will take part in a 5-week visit, in which they will attend Japanese schools and stay in Japanese ordinary households, and take part in other activities in Japan. Each year one student from Denmark is selected to participate in the program.

NB!
High School Exchange Program postponed
The Japanese government has decided to postpone the high school exchange program until further notice. Thus, at least this year, we will not be accepting applications for the program. We have been running the program successfully the last many years, and have been happy to send many Danish high school students to Japan for an experience they will never forget. We have also been very thankful for the high number of applications we have received each year, as it witnesses the high interest in Japan the Danish youth has. The embassy will of course still be advising those wishing to study or work in Japan if you contact us, and our homepage has useful information on Working Holiday Visa, university scholarships and more.
