The Japanese Government Scholarship for Japanese Studies
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to international students who wish to study for a period of one year at designated Japanese universities as Japanese Studies Students in order to deepen their understanding of the Japanese language, Japanese affairs and Japanese culture under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program.

Write on the envelope: MEXT Scholarships for Japanese Studies
Application deadline: Thursday, 20 February 2025
As for the certificate of health including the X-ray, the Embassy will ask those who have passed the 1st screening to submit by Friday 7 March. Please be prepared so you can submit the official document signed by your doctor on time.
Selected candidates will be invited for the Japanese language test and interview held at the Embassy on a day in the first half of the week 10 (1 – 3 March).
